51. Exchange V
Right says nothing.
Left may or may not say the same.

52. The Things We Fail To Do II

Each day, Right fails to take a self portrait, they then send it to Left.
Right continues to fail until they have successfully depicted themselves to Left via their failures.

53. Memory Transference

Right and Left sit down one day and write letters to one another. In the letters they each detail a memory that the other doesn’t know, possibly major, possibly small. The two write everything they recall of their memory, every detail and action. Once finished, they send the memory in its entirety to the other, each then reads the other’s memory over and over again, meditating on it until the other’s memory has entirely replaced their own in their head.

54. A Dream of You and Again Returning

Left and Right go out and each gather a phial of dried earth from their respective locations. They exchange the phials and each, upon receiving the other’s, pours the earth into their shoes so that they can walk upon the soil where the other lives.

55. A Cord of Two Strands

Both Right and Left each find to strands of material the length of their heights combined, each winds their two strands together in a cord and each wears their chord wound tightly on their arm.

56. Laugh Together

Left and Right pick a time and simultaneously, they laugh
For one minute
or ten minutes
or one hour
or one day

57. No Words

Both Left and Right cease speaking aloud for a month. During this time, they communicate only via text writing in a book for people to read. At the end of the month, they compare what they have written in their books, in the hope that in some small way, at some certain moments, they’ve been talking to each other without knowing.


58. Cock of the Walk

Left attempts to recall the way Right walks and their body language when at action, Left concentrates on being able to mirror Right’s body language, then spends an hour, a day, a week or a month doing so, or simply does so until they no longer have Right to mimick

59. The Vessel

Left and Right find vessels that are either identical or extremely similar.
Each fills their vessel with water and places it in the sun.
If it is warm, each waits for the water to evaporate, then photographs the empty vessel, refills the water and waits again.
If it is cold, then each waits for the water to freeze, photographs the frozen vessel, then brings it inside until it thaws before placing it back outside.

60. The Exchange (Final)

Left says “Goodbye.”
Right may or may not know what to say.
